Welcome! I’m Isabela Romero, a mental health counselor passionate about fostering growth, resilience, and meaningful connections. My counseling approach combines Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Relational Cultural Theory. I aim to bring a holistic approach to mental health, integrating the physical, emotional, cognitive and relational aspects of well-being tailored to the unique needs of each individual. In my work, I empower clients by teaching the neuroscience behind our emotions and behaviors, helping them better understand their inner world. Through this insight, connecting with our body’s sensations, and recognizing thought and emotional patterns, we open the door to powerful transformation. I believe healing happens through nurturing connections—with yourself, with others, and with the world around you—and together, we cultivate a path to well-being.
I am registered with the Behavioral Board of Science in California as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). I hold a CACREP-accredited Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montana State University and a certificate in Bioneuroemotion from the Enric Corbera Institute. With a trauma-informed focus, I strive to create a safe, authentic environment for clients to explore and grow. I work with teenagers, adults, and groups, in English and Spanish, providing in-person and virtual counseling to help individuals develop resilience, foster self-discovery, and embrace the mind-body connection for a fulfilling life.
Ready to take the next step towards growth? I look forward to guiding you on a path of self-discovery and meaningful connection.
